St. Paul Lutheran Church is an active, still growing Christian Community of Believers, which has been gathering around Word and Sacrament to the glory of God for more than 160 years. Engaged in ministry more than a decade before the Civil War scarred our Nation, the generations of members and pastors of St. Paul have worked to embrace their community and each other with the Good News of a Savior's Love.

A member of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, St. Paul adheres to the Word of God of the Old and New Testaments as the only Rule and Norm for Faith and to the three Ecumenical Creeds. We practice a loving and inclusive ministry of Word and Sacrament, embracing each one who passes through our doors in loving service to Christ. We have a ministry that reaches Christians within the Valley City Community and far beyond. Our ministry embraces families, children, seniors, youth, married/unmarried, single and 'single-once-again' people in search of God's Good News.

We are a Christian Community which embraces not only those who walk through our doors, but also those who are unable to do that. Perhaps it is Distance which makes an active worship life with us impossible; perhaps it is due to phyical limitations or even age. When the individual cannot join us within the walls of our Sanctuary, we reach out and include them through an active Web or DVD Ministry so that the Word of Grace may be shared with them as well.
